Time for a Retreat?

On offering from our dear comrade Marcia Lee (right) dialing in from eastside Detroit.

As Grace Lee Boggs reminds us, in the Chinese word for chaos, there is both opportunity and danger.  These times can be especially difficult to navigate when you are in leadership.  To support you in your leadership and to grow a community of leaders, we invite you to join us for a series of retreats for your soul and role and to have a community with which to grow and learn together for a year.

This Courage and Renewal Retreat Series is for clergy, peace and justice leaders, leaders of orders, pastors, deacons, elders, youth leaders, and other faith leaders in your local congregations/faith communities. While most participants will identify within the Christian tradition, these circles will honor the important Courage & Renewal touchstone — speak your truth in ways that respect other people’s truth. Retreat series over the course of a year are really powerful because you get to build and deepen with a group of people over time.  Here are the two retreat series:

1. Resurrecting Our Souls: A Flourishing in Ministry Retreat Series for Women of Color Christian Clergy
We have the first date set for this retreat series, but will connect with the participants to determine how the rest of the retreat series will run.   We will have an online mini retreat on Nov. 17th at 2pm eastern to give people a taste of the retreats. You can register here.

2. Flourishing in Ministry Retreat Series for Clergy: Open to everyone in Christian leadership.  We will have a few Open Houses in November so that people can get a sense of who we are and what we will be doing together.  You can register here for the Open Houses.   It looks like a lot of dates because the mini retreat dates are also listed, but there are three main retreats over the course of the year.  Please see below for more information. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until Nov. 30th.

Please let me know if you have any questions.  You can email me at marciaylee@gmail.com.
